Skiltap — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
BEATASK is now Skiltap. Only the product name has changed; Skiltap is owned and operated by BEATASK, LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains how BEATASK, LLC ("Skiltap," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Skiltap mobile app, website and related services (the "Platform"). We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text) and whether you use Skiltap as a Customer or a Provider.
- Profile information: for Providers, your business name, photo, bio, services, service area, portfolio photos and similar details you choose to add.
- Requests, quotes and bookings: job descriptions, photos, addresses, timing, budgets, quotes, completion details and reviews.
- Messages: the content of messages you send through the Platform.
- Support requests: information you share when you contact us or report a problem.
Information collected automatically
- Location: if you allow it, your device's location while you use the app, to show nearby services and jobs. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
- Usage information: how you use the app, such as screens viewed and features used, to improve the Platform.
- Device and diagnostic information: device type, operating system, app version, crash reports and performance data.
- Security signals: information that helps us confirm requests come from a genuine copy of our app and protect accounts from fraud and abuse.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, so we can send you updates about your jobs and messages.
Information from partners
- Sign in with Apple or Google: your name and email address, as permitted by your settings.
- Payments and verification (Stripe): payment card and bank details are collected directly by Stripe and are not stored by Skiltap. We receive confirmation of payments and payouts and the status of a Provider's identity verification.
- Subscriptions (Apple): purchases are handled by Apple. We receive the status of your subscription, not your payment details.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and verify your email address.
- To operate the marketplace: matching requests with Providers, delivering quotes and messages, processing payments and payouts, and handling problems and disputes.
- To provide optional AI-assisted features (see Section 3).
- To keep the Platform safe: preventing fraud, spam and abuse, enforcing our Terms, and detecting attempts to move payments off the Platform.
- To send service messages, such as verification codes, password resets, booking updates and notifications.
- To understand usage, fix problems and improve the Platform.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. AI Processing
Some features use AI provided by our service provider, OpenAI. With your permission, which we ask for when you create an account, we send OpenAI the content needed to provide these features:
- the text you enter when you use writing help for job requests, quotes or your Provider profile;
- job and quote details used for pricing suggestions and quote comparisons; and
- message content for automated safety checks that detect fraud and attempts to move payments off the Platform.
OpenAI processes this content on our behalf only to provide these features. Under its terms for business customers, OpenAI does not use this content to train its models. We do not send your payment details or password to OpenAI.
4. How We Share Information
With other users
To make the marketplace work, Customers and Providers see some of each other's information. For example, Providers see a Customer's first name, last initial and job details when quoting, and the further details needed to do the job, such as the service address, as the booking goes ahead. Customers see Provider profiles, ratings and reviews. Messages are shared with the person you send them to.

- Stripe: payment processing, Provider identity verification and payouts.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, in-app subscriptions and push notifications.
- Google: Sign in with Google, and address search and maps.

- Sentry: crash and error reporting.
- Expo: app updates and push notification delivery.
For legal and safety reasons
We may share information if required by law or legal process, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Skiltap, including to investigate fraud.
Business transfers
If Skiltap is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data Retention
