Who buys the materials?

Either way works. Say in your request if you already have the parts. If the pro is supplying them, their quote shows what's included.

What if the job turns out bigger than expected?

Talk to your pro in the app before any extra work starts. Your payment only covers the quote you accepted, and you release it once you confirm the job is done.

When does the pro get paid?

After you confirm the job is done. If you don't respond within 7 days of the pro marking it done, the payment is released automatically. If something isn't right, report a problem in the app before you release payment.
