Should I buy the faucet or toilet myself?

Either works. Say in your request if you already have it. Otherwise the plumber's quote shows the parts they'll supply.

When does the pro get paid?

After you confirm the job is done. If you don't respond within 7 days of the pro marking it done, the payment is released automatically. If something isn't right, report a problem in the app before you release payment.
